S400 (62 over S475) Twin (Compound) Turbo Kit Fits 1994 - 1998 Twin Turbos for Dodge Cummins
This compound kit is the most unique and innovative Twin Turbo Kit available today, with features like:
Our kits now come with two separate oil drain lines (except for 12V engines that only have one oil drain port).
Diesel Power Source, Twin/Compound S475 Twin Turbo Kit, performs excellent when Racing, Towing, or Sled Pulling, but is very mild mannered. SPOOL UP IS IDENTICAL TO STOCK, while raising airflow significantly. You'll be amazed at the spool up, and driveability from such a high performance kit. **SPOOL UP SIMILAR TO STOCK TURBO.
EGT's are typically reduced by 300-500 degrees, over a single turbocharger.
Boost pressure will typically exceed drive pressure, which can't typically be done with a single turbocharger (with single turbos, typically drive pressure is nearly double boost pressure).
Horsepower, and torque are increased throughout the entire RPM band, and significantly increased in mid and upper range.
Specifically tuned for 350 to 800 horsepower applications.
This Twin/Compound Turbo Kit was designed on cutting edge CAD/CAM Software, using CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) Testing. You will not find a more high tech kit on the market today. Everything fits like it was built from the factory to be there.
Kit includes: Air Filter, Cast Iron Elbow (carries exhaust from primary to secondary turbo), Support Bracket for S400 Turbo, 3-Piece Exhaust Manifold (pre-tapped ports for pyro), Complete Air Intake including Air Filter, Silicone Charge Pipe (on Low-pressure end), Chrome Plated Aluminum Charge Pipe, 1-DPS 62 Turbo (small turbo, 62/12/65, formerly Dtech) ,1-S475 Turbo (large turbo 75mm compressor wheel/ 96m turbine wheel, 1.32 A/R Housing), 2-Steel Braided High Temp Oil Supply Lines, 2-Oil Drain Lines & Fittings, Turbo & Manifold Gaskets, Oil Line Adapters, Mounting Bolts, Exhaust Adapter (from S475 to exhaust pipe), V-Band Clamps, High Torque T-Bolt Clamps, Low Torque Clamps, 4" Exhaust Downpipe, Installation Instructions.
Head Stud Recommendations:
On 3rd Gen 5.9L trucks, head studs are highly recommended for boost pressures that are over 55 psi, and fire rings are recommended for boost pressures that are over 65 psi.
On 2nd Gen trucks and 6.7 L Trucks (3rd and 4th gen), head studs are highly recommended for boost pressures that are over 48 psi, and fire rings are recommended for boost pressures that are over 55 psi.
All of our Compound Turbo systems are capable of over more than 55 psi, but are adjustable depending on truck.
**For 1st gen trucks, intercooler hose modifications may be necessary
** On trucks with automatic transmissions, some trucks require relocation of the transmission oil cooler on the side of the engine block, but not all 2nd gen trucks require this.
I had the compound kit on my 5.9 Cummins for 4 years now. It made a huge difference in towing trailers. It spools up quick for when I need to get the camper or the trailer moving from a stop. Also, it does not take a lot of effort to make a pass on someone when I'm in a hurry. I would recommend this kit to anyone, whether they want to play or work.
Hello,I do not normally comment on my truck part purchases, but I felt the quality of your kit was worth taking the time for. I recently purchased one of your stocker / S475 kits for my 06 ram. I have to say I am very impressed with the quality and packaging you guys do. This is my first compound turbo set up. I looked at many kits before purchasing yours. I looked at cheaper and more expensive. I had nearly talked myself into buying a cheaper kit. After receiving your kit I was immediately satisfied with spending the extra money on it. I opened the kit and was very impressed with the packaging alone. I thought to myself, if it performs half as well as it is packaged, I was going to be very happy. I had one issue after installation, but it turned out to be my fault for assuming. I assumed the tube from the output of the S475 to the input of my stock turbo was molded to the connector that uses V band clamp onto the S475. I had one extra clamp once installed and I thought it was odd, however I took the truck for a test ride and was very impressed with the faster spool up but the system got very loud and not as much boost as I had anticipated. I found out very quickly where the extra clamp went. After that mistake was remedied, the system is performing flawlessly. I am very satisfied with this kit. I look forward to putting it to the test towing in the Colorado mountains. I will be purchasing your intake for this same truck as well as probably upgrading my stock turbo to one of your new ball bearing turbos in the near future. I will not hesitate to recommend you guys to anyone who asks.
Best thing I could have done sooner was do compounds for my 6.7Cummins! Stock fuel with some items not on the truck and it tows awesome. Steep grades and EGTs issues are a thing of the past! Great kit
Hey fellas, did some upgrades after your compound set up. Hamilton stage 1 head, full manual valve body, 125 industrial injectors. Makes 683 hp and just under 1300tq at 7200 ft. Egts never get over 1100 no matter what I'm pulling or how I have my attitude adjusted. Tuned by grand by truck shop. This thing is a pulling beast. Thanks again.!
